
Traffic Restrictions for Yatra to continue, tourist, Yatris eulogize Kashmiri hospitality : Governor
J&K Governor Sh. SP Malik today visited the Pantha Chowk Transit camp for Shri AmarNath Ji Yatris along with the senior Officers and dignitaries of the administration and Police and reviewed the arrangements made for the Yatris.
He spoke to the media on the sidelines of the review and appealed to people to remain patient and said that the traffic restrictions have been imposed keeping in the view the security situation and added that it is because of the people of Kashmir and specifically Muslims that Amarnath Ji Yatra has been successful for all these years. He said that Muslims are equal stakeholders in the conduct of Yatra as all those who take Pilgrims upto the holy cave are muslims. In a way Amarnath Yatra signifies Hindu Muslim unity in J&K.
He also said that the hospitality offered by people of Kashmir towards tourists is exceptional and is admired by every Yatri and tourist.
